This album should have been called The Trouble With Glier because his adolescent singing voice and AOR arrangements makes him and this album a great fit with the current crop of “American Idol” flavor-o-tha-days or the music fan who shops exclusively at Wal-Mart.

However, as someone who thinks AI and Wal-Mart have sucker-punched the music and recording industries into a state of ruination, I have to call it out as soulless. This type of pop music is as aggravating as it is numbing. It left me with the feeling that I was sitting in a reception area waiting for the nurse to call my name. The biography put out by the label puts Glier in the same company as Paul McCartney, Elton John and Billy Joel. The only thing I can figure that Glier has in common with those artists is that they all play piano … and perhaps Glier has albums by the others in his personal record collection ... certainly the opposite cannot be true.
