We Are Wolves
Invisible Violence
(Dare to Care)
The Montreal, Quebec-based We Are Wolves first struck paydirt in 2005 when Fat Possum Records released their high energy debut Non-Stop Je Te Plie en Deux. Soon thereafter, the electro-rock trio moved on to their current label home Dare To Care Records, which has released We Are Wolves’ last two albums including their latest, Invisible Violence.
We Are Wolves - Alex Ortiz (bass, guitar, vocals), Vincent Levesque (keyboards, beatbox, vocals), and Antonin Marquis (drums and vocals) – lay down a dozen polished tracks full of their signature electro rock sound. Invisible Violence captures the trio’s trademark energetic style no matter if they are going for a straight forward rock song like "Walking Commotion" or slice off a bit of pop goodness with "Reaching For the Sky" and get balls-out punky on "Holding Hands," all the while mixing in creative heavy danceable beats.
Invisible Violence is the third full length from We Are Wolves and they have shown the ability to grow as a band without losing the luster they based their band on. Yes, these Canadians are a hard band to pinpoint, but that is also the reason they are so damn fun to listen to.
